The suspended President of the Court of Appeal, (PCA) Justice Ayo Isa Salami OFR was today re-instated to his former position by the National Judicial Council (NJC).
According to an impeccable source close to the NJC, the decision to re-instate Justice Salami was reached in Abuja during the second day of the NJC meeting which lasted for hours and ended at about 4:00 pm today.

On August 18 2011 Justice Isa Ayo Salami was suspended by the NJC, for refusing to apologise to the former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Aloysius Katsina-Alu, for allegedly lying on oath against him.
Justice Salami accused the former CJN of asking him to compromise the Sokoto Court of Appeal hearing in favourt of Governor Aliyu Wamakko.
The National Judicial Council (NJC) today took the decisions through voting. 10 votes was in favour of the recall while 8 members of the body voted against Justice Salami’s recall.
